Description
The Adafruit ATtiny816 Breakout is a versatile 'three in one' development board featuring the next generation AVR microcontroller ATtiny816, pre-programmed with Adafruit seesaw firmware for I2C peripheral control, and includes STEMMA QT connectors for easy plug-and-play I2C interfacing.
This mini development board is ideal for users looking to experiment with the ATtiny816 microcontroller with the flexibility to extend hardware capabilities through seesaw firmware. Equipped with two STEMMA QT I2C connectors, it can be used as either an I2C controller or peripheral.
- ATtiny816 microcontroller: 8KB flash, 512 bytes RAM, 128 bytes EEPROM, internal oscillator up to 20MHz, hardware multiplier, operates from 2V to 5V
- 3.3V regulator: Default runs at Vin (usually 5V), with a solder jumper to select 3.3V logic
- LED Indicators: Green power LED and red indicator LED
- Two STEMMA QT I2C connectors with 10K pullup resistors on pins 8 and 9
- Pre-programmed with seesaw firmware for extensive I2C peripheral functionality including GPIO, ADC inputs, PWM outputs, NeoPixel control, EEPROM storage, interrupt output, and I2C address selection
- Supports reprogramming via UPDI programmer (not included)
This board is particularly useful for timing-sensitive tasks unavailable on many microcontrollers and is ideal for makers and developers wishing to integrate the ATtiny816 easily with other I2C hardware.
