This breakout board allows you to expand the number of GPIO pins in your project via an I2C interface, making it ideal for adding more buttons or LEDs without upgrading to a larger board. Featuring 16 multifunction I/O pins configurable as inputs or outputs, the AW9523 supports LED current-source dimming and GPIO modes with 256 steps of linear dimming resolution.
