Description
The Adafruit HTU31-D is the third generation temperature-humidity sensor from TE, offering excellent accuracy and intelligent features for temperature and humidity sensing applications. It serves as a refined upgrade to the popular HTU21-D sensor and provides a reliable and cost-effective alternative to common DHT series sensors.
This sensor features I2C digital communication with typical accuracy of ±2% relative humidity from 20% to 100% RH within 0 to 70°C temperature range, and temperature accuracy of ±0.2°C from -0 to 100°C. It includes an onboard heater for evaporation of condensation and offers CRC-checked data reads for increased reliability.
Additional features include a hardware reset pin, an address-select pin (allowing two sensors on one I2C bus), and thermal-isolation cutout to minimize interference from nearby circuitry. The board comes in the handy STEMMA QT format, compatible with SparkFun Qwiic connectors for easy plug-and-play connectivity without soldering.
Each PCB breakout kit includes a fully assembled and tested sensor board with a small piece of header that can be soldered for breadboard use.
