Upgrade any Feather board with precision motion sensing using the Adafruit ISM330DHCX + LIS3MDL FeatherWing, an all-in-one 9-DoF IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor wing.
This FeatherWing integrates the ST ISM330DHCX industrial quality Accelerometer + Gyroscope 6-DOF IMU and the LIS3MDL 3-axis magnetometer, providing 9 degrees of full-motion data.
- ISM330DHCX: Accelerometer with ±2/±4/±8/±16 g ranges and update rates from 1.6 Hz to 6.7 kHz; Gyroscope with ±125/±250/±500/±1000/±2000/±4000 dps ranges and update rates from 12.5 Hz to 6.7 kHz. Features include built-in tap detection, activity detection, pedometer, step counter, programmable finite state machine and machine learning core.
- LIS3MDL: 3-axis magnetometer with magnetic full scales of ±4/±8/±12/±16 gauss, 16-bit data output, and interrupt generator.
This sensor board supports I2C communication and includes STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for easy plug-and-play connectivity without soldering. Address selection jumpers are provided for multiple devices on the same I2C bus. Complete libraries are available for both Arduino (C/C++) and CircuitPython for quick integration.
Four mounting holes provide secure attachment, and industrial temperature range ensures reliable operation from -40 to +105°C.
