Description

The Adafruit LTR390 UV Light Sensor is a low-cost sensor capable of ambient light and UVA sensing with a peak spectral response between 300 and 350nm. Designed to measure UV light intensity, it is ideal for applications such as determining sun exposure.

This sensor features a real light sensor in the UV spectrum with an easy-to-use I2C interface compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers. Unlike the Si1145 sensor, it does not provide UV Index readings but offers true UV sensing. It also incorporates internal biasing and ADC, removing the need for an external ADC used in analog UV sensors.

Packaged on a breakout PCB in the Stemma QT form factor, it offers easy connectivity options with both STEMMA QT and SparkFun Qwiic connectors, supporting both 3.3V and 5V logic levels.

  • Low-cost UV and ambient light sensor
  • Peak spectral response between 300-350nm
  • I2C interface for easy integration
  • Stemma QT / Qwiic connectors for plug-and-play compatibility
  • Supports 3.3V and 5V logic levels
  • Internal biasing and ADC included
  • Compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers

Note: STEMMA QT / Qwiic JST SH 4-pin Cable (100mm) sold separately.
