Description
The Adafruit MiniBoost 5V @ 100mA Charge Pump is a compact voltage booster that provides a stable 5V output from a 3V input at up to 100mA supply current. Small and efficient, it is perfect for battery-powered projects using 2 or 3 Alkaline batteries or a single Lithium battery.
This mini booster uses a charge-pump topology for compactness and low cost, doubling the incoming voltage and regulating down. While not as efficient as inductor-based boost converters, it is suitable for low current applications where efficiency is less critical.
The board comes fully assembled with an AP3602A IC and includes a small header. Input voltage range is 3-5V DC; output is regulated to 5V. An enable pin allows the output to be disabled by pulling low.
- Compact size: 15.0mm x 10.0mm x 3.0mm
