Description
The Adafruit MLX90632 FIR Temperature Sensor is a compact, low-cost remote infrared sensor ideal for measuring the temperature of objects without physical contact. Featuring a 50° field of view, it is best used a few centimeters or inches away from the target to prevent averaging over a large area.
This sensor breakout includes the MLX90632SLD-DCB 'medical grade' sensor, factory calibrated with ±0.2°C accuracy in the 35 to 42°C range suitable for medical applications. It also supports an extended temperature range from -20 to 100°C for versatile object temperature measurements. Additionally, it measures local temperature on-chip.
The sensor communicates via I2C using the STEMMA QT / Qwiic connector standard for easy integration with microcontrollers and microcomputers. It includes onboard level shifting and regulation to support both 3V and 5V logic.
