Description
The Adafruit NeoPot is a unique potentiometer featuring a clear shaft that allows full RGB color illumination via a built-in NeoPixel. This 10K linear potentiometer is based on the RK09K1130D62, similar to the popular Alps RK09 series but with a translucent shaft extending nearly to the PCB.
The potentiometer integrates a NeoPixel soldered beneath it, lighting up the shaft to provide vibrant color effects. The device includes three potentiometer pins (P-, Pot (wiper), and P+) rated up to 20V, and NeoPixel power and data pins (Vcc, N-In, Gnd, N-Out). You can power the NeoPixel from 3V or 5V, ideally matching the logic level signal supply.
For simplified wiring, jumpers can be soldered to connect P- to ground and P+ to Vcc. The PCB offers two header strips for mechanical stability and four mounting holes for panel installation. Extra headers are included for breadboard compatibility. Note that a microcontroller or microcomputer capable of driving NeoPixels is required.
