Description
The Adafruit Non-Latching Mini Relay FeatherWing is designed to provide power control for Feather boards. It allows you to turn on and off small appliances such as lamps, fans, and solenoids running on up to 250VAC or DC power using any Feather board.
This FeatherWing features a simple non-latching relay with a single Set pin. The relay's default state connects the COM pin to the NC pin. When the Set pin is activated, the relay switches, connecting the COM pin to the NO pin. The relay is indicated as active by a red LED and consumes about 50mA of current while engaged.
This relay can switch up to 2A of resistive current at 30VDC or approximately 40VAC. At higher voltages, the current rating decreases accordingly: 0.6A at 110VDC, 0.5A at 120VAC, and 0.3A at 250VAC. For switching loads above 60W, a more robust relay such as the Power FeatherWing is recommended.
Each FeatherWing comes fully assembled and tested with a terminal block pre-soldered, including header pins for easy Feather board attachment. Some light soldering is required.
Important: Use caution when handling voltages above 24V and ensure safe operation practices.
