Adafruit Non-Latching Mini Relay FeatherWing

A Feather board without ambition is a Feather board without FeatherWings! This is the Non-Latching Mini Relay FeatherWing. It gives you power to control, and control over power. Put simply, you can now turn on and off lamps, fans, solenoids, and other small appliances that run on up to 250VAC or DC power using any Feather board.

Using our Feather Stacking Headers or Feather Female Headers you can connect a FeatherWing on top of your Feather board and let the board take flight. Check out our range of Feather boards here.

This Non-Latching relay FeatherWing has a single Set pin. Normally, the relay's COM pin is connected mechanically to the NC pin, and the NO pin is disconnected. When the SET pin is pulled high, the relay switches so that the COM pin is connected to the NO pin and NC is disconnected. A red LED lights when the relay is active, using about 50mA of current.

The relay switches up to 2A resistive current at 30VDC or ~40VAC or lower, with reduced current capacity at higher voltages. This is suitable for switching devices up to about 60W. For higher power, check out our Power Featherwing that supports up to 10A.

Each FeatherWing comes fully assembled and tested with terminal block soldered on, including headers for attachment to your Feather board. Some light soldering is required.

Warning: Use care when connecting to high voltages (> 24V). High voltage work requires experience and knowledge of safety guidelines.
