Description
The Adafruit Proto Under Plate PiCowBell is designed as a mini solder-less proto plate to simplify programming and sensor connectivity for your Raspberry Pi Pico board. It features a reset button and a STEMMA QT / Qwiic connector for fast I2C connection. The board allows plug-and-play connectivity with Pico H or Pico WH boards without the need for soldering.
This board includes double sockets soldered on, allowing direct plug-in of your Pico with access to a prototyping area underneath and a second row of socket pins for easy wire connections. Each socket is labelled for easy pin identification. It also includes 4 mounting holes for easy attachment.
The dual socket headers are hollow, allowing connection through the back using Pico Stacking Headers or soldering pin headers on the wrong side of a Pico to plug through from the bottom.
Recommended to use with little rubber feet to protect your desk if not mounted.
Key Features:
- 2x20 slim socket headers for Pico plug-in and extra row of sockets for each pin
- Right angle reset button that protrudes from the end
- Right angle JST SH connector for I2C / STEMMA QT / Qwiic connections (3V, GND, IO4 (SDA), IO5 (SCL)) or plain GPIO wiring
- Extra set of 4 breakout holes for additional I2C connections or to re-assign I2C port
- 3 hole-connected strips in the center for mini breadboard style connections
- Duplicate pad hole for every Pico pad to allow solder-jumpering
- White silkscreen rectangles highlight ground pads, plus a long ground strip near reset button
- Long connected strip for 3.3V power
- Gold-plated pads for easy soldering
Note: This board does not include I2C pullups. Your Qwiic / STEMMA QT accessory likely has onboard pullups. Compatible with Philhower Arduino core, CircuitPython, and MicroPython with configured SDA/SCL pins.
