Description
If you've got a resistive touch screen that you'd like to use, you'll need this breakout board. It features a medium pitch (1.0mm) connector soldered onto it, broken out into the four resistive wires of the panel.
This petite breakout board measures 0.5" x 0.5" (12.7mm x 12.7mm) and includes two mounting holes for strain relief. The connector is double-sided, compatible with both top-contact and bottom-contact flex PCBs, making it ideal for 7" touch screens and other touch panels with 1.0mm pitch.
For 0.5mm-pitch touch panels, see our related product. For breakouts with resistive-panel control driver chips, consider our STMPE I2C/SPI breakout or USB AR1100 driver.
Check out our Arduino library code to easily get readings, debounce inputs, and read the pressure from any touch screen, enabling touch detection and pressure sensitivity. The code is easily portable to other microcontrollers.
