Description
The Adafruit TPL5110 Power Timer Breakout is a standalone board designed to convert any electronics into low-power devices by controlling the power with a built-in timer. It periodically turns on power to your project at adjustable intervals between 100ms and 2 hours. It waits for a signal from your project to safely turn off power, acting like a watchdog timer if no signal is received.
Adjust the delay time with the onboard trim potentiometer or resistor, then connect VDD to your 3-5V supply and your project’s power input to the Drive pin. Use a signal pin to the Done pin to indicate completion of the task.
During periods when the rest of your project is powered off, the TPL5110 draws approximately 20µA current, making it ideal for battery or solar-powered devices.
The breakout comes fully assembled with the TPL5110 chip and necessary components, requiring minimal soldering to prepare for breadboard use.
