Description

The Adafruit VCNL4040 is a versatile two-in-one sensor featuring a proximity sensor with a range from 0 to 200mm (approximately 7.5 inches) and a light sensor capable of measuring from 0.0125 to 6553 lux.

This sensor breakout is designed for easy use with 3.3V or 5V logic levels and includes support circuitry on a compact PCB. It communicates via I2C and carries SparkFun Qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors, allowing simple plug-and-play connectivity with your microcontroller without soldering.

Key features include adjustable integration times to tune light measurement sensitivity (80ms max range of 6553.5 lux, 640ms max range of 819.2 lux), as well as configurable LED current and duty cycle for proximity measurement sensitivity adjustment.
