Description

The Adafruit VL53L4CD Time of Flight Sensor is a precise proximity sensor capable of measuring distances from approximately 1mm to 1300mm using an invisible laser source. It calculates the "time of flight" for light to travel to an object and back, providing accurate and linear distance measurements.

This breakout board includes a built-in regulator and level shifting, making it compatible with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers such as Feather, Raspberry Pi, Metro 328, or Arduino Uno. Communication is handled over I2C, and the board features SparkFun Qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors for easy plug-and-play connectivity without soldering.

Ideal for robotics, interactive projects, and any application requiring precise short-range distance sensing.

  • Distance Range: ~1 to 1300mm
  • High-performance proximity sensor with diagonal field of view of 18°
  • Short distance linearity down to 1 mm
  • Fast ranging frequency up to 100 Hz
  • Autonomous low power mode with programmable interrupt thresholds
  • Works with both 3.3V and 5V logic levels
  • Includes two STEMMA QT connectors for easy connectivity
  • Compatible with Arduino using ST's official VL53L4CD library
  • Compact dimensions: 25.5mm x 17.7mm x 4.6mm
  • Lightweight: 1.8g

Note: STEMMA QT cable is not included but available separately.
