Description
This PSRAM is a 64 Mbit (8 Megabyte) serial pseudo SRAM device, organized in 8 M x 8 bits and in a compact SOIC-8 package. It is fabricated using high-performance and high-reliability CMOS technology and operates at 3.3V with support for up to 133 MHz clock rate, though burst operations crossing page boundaries have a max clock frequency of 84 MHz.
The device supports access via basic Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) or faster Quad Peripheral Interface (QPI) for higher data rates. Unlike FLASH or EEPROM, this is RAM and supports unlimited reads and writes to the memory array.
Ideal for upgrading ESP32-based boards or Teensy 4.1 boards that have spots for PSRAM additions. Best used with chips that have memory-mapping support for external PSRAM for seamless operation.
