Description
Yes, this is a cute little 5" TFT display with WVGA 800x480 resolution and it has a resistive touchscreen overlay. It comes with a small driver board and USB-enabled 40-pin to 50-pin touchscreen adapter board.
The screen is commonly seen in consumer electronics such as miniature TVs, GPSs, handheld games, and car displays. It has a 40-pin connector with 24-bit color capability. The driver board has HDMI input for Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone Black, and other computers, providing high-quality output.
The touchscreen controller appears as a plain 'HID Mouse' device with plug-and-play calibration. A wired PCB with buttons allows brightness, color, and contrast adjustments. The display auto-detects inputs or can be manually selected.
For Raspberry Pi, it's suggested to edit config.txt for 800x480 resolution. The display works without configuration on Beagle Bone Black. A power adapter is not included; a 5V, 500mA USB power source is required along with a Mini B USB cable for the touchscreen sensor.
