Illuminated Toggle Switch with Cover - Yellow

Fire up your engines with this Illuminated Toggle Switch featuring an aerodynamic yellow protective casing and a yellow LED at the tip of the switch to add flair and flare to your projects.

Commonly used on control panels, this switch allows you to mimic racing cars, fighter jets, submarine status panels, factory controls, and more. It is rated for a maximum voltage of 12V, with the LED lighting up at 3V, suitable for use with lower voltages. Although marked 20 A, a recommendation of 1-2A max current is suggested for safety.

The switch includes 3 pins and an integrated LED, with specific wiring considerations:

• The LED anode (positive) is connected through a resistor to the pin with a 'headlamp' symbol.
• The LED cathode (negative) is connected to the ground pin located on the side of the switch.
• The switch toggles connection between the (+) pin and the 'headlamp' pin.

Wiring options include:

• Using the switch to turn a circuit on/off by connecting/disconnecting the two bottom pins.
• Providing 3-12V between the ground and headlamp pins to keep the LED always on.
• Supplying 3-12V to the (+) pin and connecting ground to the ground pin to light the LED only when the switch is active.

The protective cover automatically turns the switch off when flipped closed and can be removed if not needed.
