Description
Add motor driving capability to your BBC micro:bit with the Kitronik Compact Motor Driver Board. This board allows two motors to be driven simultaneously with full forward, reverse, and stop control, making it ideal for robotics projects such as buggies. Featuring built-in short circuit, over current, and thermal protection, it ensures safe and reliable operation.
The board includes an integrated Edge Connector for easy BBC micro:bit connection and offers external connections for buttons A and B, allowing additional inputs to be read by the micro:bit. Two additional I/O pins support digital or analog signals for expanded functionality.
Power is supplied via a terminal block or servo connector, equipped with an on/off power switch and a green LED power indicator. The board also provides a regulated 3V supply to power the micro:bit directly, eliminating the need for a separate power source.
Compatible with MakeCode and Python programming, the compact motor driver board supports half-stepping for stepper motors (micro-stepping not supported).
