It uses the NCP2890 audio amplifier IC capable of 1.0W output power, ideal for portable communication devices and personal stereo equipment including MP3 players, computers, phones, and tablets.

This kit includes a pre-built jack cable, an 8Ω 66mm speaker, and an AA battery pack, operating from 2.5 to 5.5 Volts (Maximum 6V).
