Description
The Kitronik Relay Control Breakout Board allows a low power logic level device running at 5V to operate a relay capable of switching high current loads up to 16A 250VAC or 16A 30VDC. This enables low power microprocessors to control large, power-consuming devices safely and effectively.
To operate the board, connect a constant 5V power supply and a signal input. When the signal input is high (above 2.1V), the relay and onboard LED indicator activate, closing the normally open relay circuit.
- High current output drive (16A)
- LED indicator shows relay operation
- Compact dimensions: 48mm length, 38mm width, 26.5mm height
Connections:
- GND – Ground / zero volts
- Vcc – 5V power input
- SIG – Signal input (above 2.1V activates relay)
- LOAD – Relay output terminals, connected when relay is on
Possible applications include driving motors or lights from a microcontroller.
Caution: This board can be used with mains electricity but should only be handled by qualified persons.
