Description

The Kitronik STOP:bit is a pre-assembled, bolt-on traffic light accessory designed for the BBC micro:bit. It features three 10mm diameter LEDs simulating a pedestrian crossing traffic light, driven directly from micro:bit IO pins and powered via the micro:bit connections, making it easy to build interactive traffic light projects without soldering.

This accessory enables wireless coordination between multiple STOP:bits using the micro:bit's radio module, allowing for realistic traffic management scenarios. It is compatible with the Microsoft MakeCode Editor and comes with custom coding blocks to simplify programming, suitable for younger learners as well.

The STOP:bit is supplied with screws for attaching the micro:bit securely or can be connected using crocodile clips. This makes it an ideal educational tool for teaching coding and electronics concepts with the BBC micro:bit platform.

  • Upgrade your micro:bit traffic light/pedestrian crossing projects with a pre-assembled board.
