Description
The Kitronik ZIP Hex LED features a single RGB WS2812Mini LED capable of producing a full spectrum of colours. This LED can be controlled using a microprocessor, such as the BBC micro:bit, making it ideal for various electronics and coding projects.
The boards are designed to be chained together easily. Each PCB has six evenly spaced pads around the edges that allow connections with crocodile clips or M3 fixings. The PCBs can also be stacked by rotating 180 degrees to form columns.
The operating voltage range is from 3.5V to 5V, with power supplied through +V and 0V pads. Data is input via the IN pad, and when chaining multiple boards, connect the OUT pad of one board to the IN pad of the next, as well as connecting their +V and 0V pads together.
