Description
The Kitronik ZIP Tile is an 8 x 8 display panel designed for the BBC micro:bit. Ideal for displaying colorful animations, scrolling text, and more, it features 64 addressable full-colour LEDs arranged in an 8 x 8 grid.
This versatile display board offers ZIP LED expansion points on the left, right, and top of the board, allowing you to link multiple Tiles together for bigger displays. The BBC micro:bit can be connected using the supplied M3 bolts and spacers or croc clips, with standard 0.1” (2.54mm) footprint breakout for P1 & P2 pins. A JST connector on the rear allows power supply connection which powers both the ZIP Tile and the BBC micro:bit with a regulated 3V supply.
Custom programming blocks have been developed for the MakeCode Editor to simplify coding for the ZIP Tile.
