Description
These compact 0.96" diagonal OLED displays feature 128x64 individual white pixels for crisp, high-contrast output without the need for a backlight. Each pixel is an organic LED that emits its own light, allowing for a thin and power-efficient design. The display supports both SPI and I2C interfaces, selectable by cutting jumpers on the back. It is 5V ready with an onboard regulator and boost converter, making it compatible with 3V and 5V microcontrollers without level shifting.
This updated design includes auto-reset circuitry, making the reset pin optional on I2C connections. The display includes SparkFun qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors for easy plug-and-play use without soldering when using STEMMA QT cables (cables sold separately).
An Arduino library and detailed tutorials are available to facilitate text, graphics, and pixel display with efficient buffering (1KB RAM required). The display must be turned off when not in use to prevent OLED pixels from dimming due to prolonged use.
