Description
The Rainbow HAT from Pimoroni is a versatile add-on board designed for Android Things™ and Raspberry Pi. Packed with an array of sensors, inputs, and colorful displays, the Rainbow HAT can be used as a weather station, clock, timer, mood light, and much more.
This board was developed in collaboration with the Android Things™ team at Google and features multiple components to help you explore Android Things applications on Raspberry Pi.
- Seven APA102 multicolor LEDs
- Four 14-segment alphanumeric displays with green LEDs
- HT16K33 display driver chip
- Three capacitive touch buttons driven by Atmel QT1070 chip
- Blue, green, and red LEDs
- BMP280 temperature and pressure sensor
- Piezo buzzer
- Breakout pins for servo, I2C, SPI, and UART interfaces (all 3.3V)
The Rainbow HAT showcases various Raspberry Pi protocols including SPI for LEDs, I2C for sensors and displays, GPIO for touch buttons and LEDs, and PWM for the buzzer.
Works with any Raspberry Pi model including Pi 1, B+, Pi 2, Pi 3, Pi 4, Pi 5, and Pi Zero. (Raspberry Pi not included)
