Description

Build articulated robots with the Pimoroni Servo 2040, an all-in-one RP2040 powered servo controller featuring current measurement, sensor headers, and RGB LEDs.

The Servo 2040 supports up to 18 servos, perfect for hexapod robots or robotic arms. It includes current monitoring to track power consumption and features six addressable WS281x RGB LEDs (NeoPixels) for status feedback.

Additional features include six analog sensor headers for sensing environmental data, a QT connector for STEMMA QT or Qwiic breakout integration, and USB-C programming and power input. It supports higher voltage servos up to 11V with a simple board modification.

  • RP2040 dual Arm Cortex M0+ processor at 133MHz with 264kB SRAM
  • 2MB QSPI flash with XiP support
  • 18 servo headers supporting 3-pin hobby servos
  • Supports higher voltage servos (up to 11V) with trace modification
  • 6 addressable RGB LEDs (NeoPixels) for visual feedback
  • 6 analog sensor headers
  • Onboard voltage and current sensing
  • Reset and BOOT/user buttons
  • USB-C connector supports 3A max current
  • Screw terminals for external power with reverse polarity protection (10A max continuous)
  • QT (STEMMA QT/Qwiic) connector for easy breakout integration
  • Fully assembled, no soldering required
  • Supported by C++/MicroPython libraries with examples

Note: Servos not included. Higher voltage servo support requires cutting a trace on the board and providing separate logic power. Recommended to use a data-only USB adapter when programming battery-powered robots.

Dimensions: 62mm x 42mm x 12mm (including connectors), mounting holes M2.5, 2.7mm from edges.
