Description

This is a screen for advanced hackers who prefer a rectangle TFT screen with a high pixel count. The 3.2" square display features 320x820 RGB666 16-bit full-color pixels and uses an IPS panel, providing excellent color visibility up to 80 degrees off-axis in any direction.

Note: This version does not have a touchscreen.

The TFT driver is the ST7701S, which uses both SPI and TTL RGB 'dot clock' data. SPI is used only for configuring the display; drawing pixels over SPI is not supported. Despite a 40-pin connector, it does not share the same pinout as standard rectangular 800x480 or 480x272 displays, making it unique.

Driving the display requires a chip capable of TTL RGB TFT driving, such as the ESP32-S3 with octal PSRAM or a computer like the Raspberry Pi with direct-DPI connection or an ICN6211 intermediary chip. It is not compatible with common microcontrollers like Feather or Arduino unless specifically designed for RGB-666 display support.

This is a display module only; no PCB is included.

Be sure to verify your microcontroller's compatibility with TTL RGB-666 displays before purchasing. For example, check out the Adafruit Qualia ESP32-S3 for TTL RGB-666 Display.
