Description
This is a fancy upgrade to standard 20x4 LCDs, featuring full color RGB characters on a dark/black background. You can change the character display colors to a wide spectrum such as red, green, blue, pink, white, purple, yellow, teal, salmon, and chartreuse, creating a visually striking effect.
The LCD is backwards-compatible with existing projects; if only the red LED is used, it will appear as red-on-black. The extra two pins allow control of green and blue LEDs. Onboard resistors allow for a safe 5V logic drive with approximately 40mA current draw (20mA per LED). The single RGB LED backlight covers the entire display and can be dimmed via a resistor or PWM control.
The product comes with a single 20x4 RGB backlight LCD, a 10K contrast potentiometer, and a strip of header pins.
