Description
These chrome-plated metal buttons are rugged and visually appealing. Designed to fit into a 16mm hole in materials up to 1/2" thick, they include a rubber gasket to protect against water ingress. The button features a flat metal actuator on the front, surrounded by a green plastic LED ring. The back has 3 contacts for the button (common, normally-open, normally-closed) and 2 contacts for the green LED ring (+ and -). The LED operates at 3 to 6V with a built-in resistor, and for higher voltages (12V or 24V), a 470 ohm resistor should be added to the LED circuit to keep current around 20mA.
This is a momentary pushbutton: pressing it connects the normally-open contact to the common contact; releasing it breaks the connection. The switch and LED circuits are separate, allowing flexible wiring configurations.
