SMT Socket for Wide SOIC-16 Chips

This SMT socket is designed for any SOIC/SOP wide-body 16 pin chip with a 300mil body width. To use, simply flip open the latch, insert the chip, and flip down the latch to securely hold the chip in place against the gold-plated contacts. It can be soldered onto existing PCBs where clearance allows for the socket body. Please note that 150mil wide chips will not fit this socket; it is primarily intended for flash chips.
